1. What's your character's name?
At birth he was given the designation No. M-666-L, which stands for Male #666 Logistics type. When he was "rescued" he was given the name Lucifer by a total asshole trying to be funny, unfortunately it stuck. He was a member of a Human Action Response Team (H.A.R.T.), so people tend to call him Lucifer Hart. He hates his full name and goes by Luce.


2. How old is he/she?
~23 He's been a time/dimension traveler for about 5 years, and he left when he was 18 so discounting any discrepancies in the speed that time travels in different dimensions, he's roughly 23.


3. Is your OC a boy or a girl?
He's a guy, a VERY feminine guy. I always draw women, so he's my practice at drawing men, he'll probably get a little more manly looking as I get better.


4. What's his/her race?
Genetically modified, artificially created and nanobot enhanced human. It's speculated that his base genetic sequence was sampled from a Brazilian.

Appearance

1. If this character were to suddenly become part of the real world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get?
He'd fit in pretty well, so long as it was a progressive type city and not somewhere technologically slower than the rest of the world. He's got a goth/cyberpunk/biker thing going on, so he'd actually be rather popular I would think. Might get a few odd looks for walking around an urban area with no shoes though.


2. Is your character considered normal in his/her own world?
He's a bred for battle 'fake human'. He's not so popular with the reg'lar folks and quite popular with things like swat teams and strike forces. Normal's not really on the menu.


3. What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)?
I would think it'd probably be the octopus type 'THING' on his head. That or the lack of shoes, or his being so damn short and skinny.


4. Would you consider your OC as attractive?
He's a pretty-boy, and he knows how to turn on the charm. Depends on your tastes.

Personality

1. Temper?
He's spent his life on the run, most of his world wants to kill him, his best friends might be dead and he's stuck in another dimension trying to get home. Most things these days don't really bother him, he just kinda takes it all in stride. He's rebellious, but not in an angry way. It's more b/c he's bored and wants to do things his own damn way.


2. Does your character ever get depressed?
He's very careful to be excessively happy in his daily life, b/c he'd be a crying angsty emo boy if he thought about all the crap he's been through. He still has his moments though, when he lets the bad thoughts through.


3. Leader or Follower?
He was bred to be a leader, but 'losing' his team left big scars so now he prefers to be a loner. So that he won't loose anyone else important, and so that he won't become important enough for anyone else to mourn for. He doesn't like letting people in, but he's naturally sociable. He tries to keep it on a superficial level, but occasionally people can thaw him out a little.


4. What is the main aspect(s) of his/her personality?
• Infectiously goofy and playful, doesn't take anything seriously
• Loves speed, danger and risk
• Despite presented exterior personality he is very intelligent and mature

History

1. Did your OC have a family of any sort? If so, are they still alive?
Family is a sensitive issue for Luce, he never had a biological family so he adopted Lilith and Adam as his closest relatives. He feels a bit more for Lilith than he will ever admit to himself, especially since he doesn't know if he'll ever see her again. He doesn't know if Lilith and Adam are even still alive.


2. Is your character out on his/her own? If so, why?
He accidentally ripped a hole in time/space and fell through it. He's working on a way to get back home, but his projects tend to explode rather than doing what they're supposed to.


3. Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events?
-See above- The poor boy's story is MADE of trauma.


4. What was probably the best time in his/her life so far?
I make it sound terribly frightening, but Luce really enjoyed his time on the run with Lilith and Adam. They were free for the first time in their lives and were able to do whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. Being chased by highly trained military special ops was an acceptable price.

Romance

1. Single?
Doesn't like getting close to new people for fear that he'll like them. Still very emotionally tied to Lilith, without knowing what happened to her, he's not likely to allow himself to love anyone else.


2. Has your OC developed any romantic relationships?
He really hasn't had the desire or chance to do anything romantic, but he's had quite the impressive amount of meaningless one-night stands.

Hells no, he fixed that problem a long time ago


4. Does your character like flirting?
He loves flirting and being charming, but that's generally all empty. He is desperate for socialization but worries about emotional connections.

Symbolism

1. What animal would you associate your OC with?
Octopus, but that's mostly cuz of his hair, and the fact that he can do 8 different things at once. He probably couldn't swim that well, what with being full of metal and all.


2. Musical Instrument?
He'd be the guy who could be a full orchestra or a complete rock band by himself with his awesome synthesizer skills.


3. Element?
Artifice. I mean that in both ways it can be taken. Luce is the Prince of Lies and constantly deceives himself and others. He's also a master of fabrication and can create anything manmade. He doesn't do so well with biologics (socially and in his work) or anything natural or organic. He's an engineer type not a doctor.


4. Planet?
Pluto, cuz it just kinda chills out there in deep space, and doesn't care how you wanna classify it as it does it's thing.

Showing the Love

1. Do you draw your character?
He's been a brain baby for about a year, I first sketched him in November, but this is the most I've ever drawn him. I'm still working out the kinks in his character.


2. Do you write about him/her?
Luce is a character in ~Apolleon and my epic graphic novel. We've been planning and writing this mammoth for a year and we have ~15 main characters. Surprisingly Luce is one of the few sci-fi charas in it, it's mostly post apocalyptic fantasy with magic and monsters. Luce is my 3rd favorite character and I plan to cameo my first 2 sometime in *TheColosseum if possible.


3. Do you use him/her in any rpgs?
OOOOHHH, that's a really good idea. I totally should.


4. What other ways have you appreciated your OC?
I loved his blue dreads so much that I got myself a set and dressed up for halloween Luce style. Not as him, but in his style.

RANDOMIZE!

1. Is your character wanted for anything?
He is legal property of the company that created him, so he's a fugitive, but is also technically a kidnapper and thief, responsible for corporate espionage and a bunch of other ridiculous things. His laundry list of offenses across multiple times and dimensions includes:

"Arson, reckless endangerment, speeding tickets, public nudity, destruction of property, illegal use of explosive devices, improper use of legal explosives, building WMDs in an urban area, illegal possession of activated uranium, illegal possession of activated plutonium, inappropriate use of household electronics, improper handling of a particle accelerator, suspicion of urban terrorist activities, assault with a construction tool, excessive use of minimal force, wielding a deadly hairpiece, carrying concealed weaponry, illegal dimensional migration, improper use of welding materials, unethical use of garden tools, disorderly conduct towards a public vending machine, assault and battery against city power grid, operation of unidentified vehicle, computer fraud, prank calling government officials, illegal trespass on active duty nuclear submarine/Air Force 1/Norad/Hubble Telescope, Fraudulent and blatently criminal use of online trading company EBay, unorthodox tax evasion..." the list goes on for a few more pages, but you get the idea. In Luce's defense most of the charges were based in misunderstandings.


2. What are three weaknesses in him/her?
• He's full of metal, so water and magnets are not his friends
• His nanobots don't work as well as they used to so he tends to still think of himself as near invincible.. when he's not
• He's just in The Colloseum for the money, he really doesn't have a very strong drive to win, he's just looking for the quickest way to get some cash.


3. Strengths?
• Can build ANYTHING mechanical
• The nanobots still do function, albeit at a lower capacity so he's still faster than a normal human, and can heal a bit quicker
• He's very creative with his weapons and has learned to compensate for the lack of nano-invincibility


4. Does your OC drink or smoke (ect.)?
Yup, doesn't have to worry about them nagatively affecting him, since his organs are protected by the nanobots.


5. What's one quirk about your him/her?
I really want to say that his hair isn't real at all, and force him to take it off in front of an audience, but it IS real.. ::Stares at Luce's hair, and thinks about how far artistic license can protect her from angry OCs:: for now.

I also enjoy laughing at him and his fashion sense as I design his clothes. I tend to sit and sketch him muttering things like. "I can't believe you actually wear that.." or "I think I have one exactly like that in a different color.. dress like a girl much?"


6. Does your character have any phobias?
He's not fond of being bored, is terrified that he'll never get home and.. well.

He's always been wary around children, b/c they're so fragile. This has slowly developed into a phobia to the point where he's uncomfortable being in the same room as anyone under 10 or so years old. He's never had much contact with kids and views them as gossamer ethereal beings that he might accidentally blow away.


7. What could you do to get him/her into a blind rage?
He's likely to be a bit miffed at being forced to wear shoes and people who don't appreciate their families. But his biggest peeve is people who treat others like sub-human trash. Having experienced it himself, he's a bit sensitive about things like the word freak and monster.


8. Does your OC like chickens?
They've never bothered him, but he's not an animal lover. If they were Robot Chickens on the other hand...

The Final Question

What would you consider your relationship with your character to be like?
I love Luce like the brain baby he is, but also realize that he must deal with the evils of the world in order to build character. I am personally very proud of his witty banter. If he knew that I was the one who created his backstory and what I had in store for his future, he'd hate me so very hard. Luckily, he just assumes that I'm his narrator.
